Pain
Being in pain sucks, unless that’s your thing. In that case, you do you. But for many of us, ‘in pain’ is not how we want to live. Chronic pain is extra challenging because it wears our spirits down. It muddies our ability to think and feel and love. We become less animated, more contracted. I can help with pain, be it emotional or physical, with the different tools in my toolbox. Among them are acupuncture, cupping, moxabustion, somatic felt-sensing, movement and talk therapy. Whether you want to work on healing a surgical scar or a wound etched on your heart, let’s chat.
Growth
You may be feeling stuck, confused, not sure how or what to change, and yet know that things are not quite right. You may be feeling blocked creatively or emotionally. Or you may have suffered a trauma that haunts you. Classical acupuncture is more than just a system that addresses disease. It is a holistic practice that, like meditation, can guide towards clarity through deepening your understanding of yourself. So if you’re tired of “getting it” in your head, but staying stuck in the same emotional and energetic habit patterns, give this a try.
We’ll use various forms of somatic based inquiry alongside acupuncture to loosen old patterns. Our sessions work beautifully with traditional psychotherapy so hold on to your therapist. The central theme is opening up, letting go, making space. It may seem a paradox that finding wholeness and building resilience is more a matter of losing than of gaining. If it sounds a little woo woo that’s because it is, but it works. So if you're on a path of self-reflection and looking to deepen your work or if you're at the beginning, searching for purpose, let’s connect.
